Leadership Exchange

The Gabr Fellowship

Apply for the Fellowship — Reunion 2026 Coming in October

The Programme

An immersive exchange
that changes leaders

The Gabr Fellowship selects exceptional emerging leaders from the United States and from Egypt for a fully-funded, multi-city immersive exchange. Together, they explore each other’s cultures, political realities, business trends, and goals for the future.

The programme is not a conference. It is a sustained, structured encounter designed to build genuine relationships, challenge assumptions, and produce multinational action projects that outlast the programme itself.

How It Works

Four stages of transformation

01

Selection

A rigorous application and nomination process selects 16–24 exceptional emerging leaders aged 24–35 from the US, Egypt. Equal gender balance. Equal US/Arab split.

02

Egypt Programme

Fellows travel to Egypt for a 10-day immersive programme — engaging with senior officials, cultural institutions, civil society leaders, and each other across Cairo and beyond.

03

US Programme

The cohort reconvenes in Washington DC for meetings on Capitol Hill, at think tanks, embassies, and the Foundation’s network of senior American policymakers and business leaders.

04

Alumni Network

Fellows join a lifelong network of 140+ global leaders — participating in reunions, speaker series, and collaborative action projects that carry the mission forward.
